Adam McArthur: Inside the World of Voice Acting and Jujutsu Kaisen Star

Adam McArthur

Introducing Adam McArthur

Hi! I’m Adam McArthur, a voice actor who has had the pleasure of bringing characters to life on TV, in anime, and in video games. My passion for storytelling and character creation drives me to immerse myself in different worlds and connect with audiences. I want people to know that I love what I do and strive to bring my best to every role.

What Sets Me Apart

What makes me unique in this industry is my versatility and dedication to my craft. I’m constantly pushing myself to explore new characters and bring fresh energy to each role. My enthusiasm and willingness to take on challenges, whether diving into complex characters or tackling different genres, help me stand out.

Discovering My Passion

I realized I wanted to pursue voice acting at 16, after begging my parents to enroll me in acting classes. Booking my first professional gig solidified my passion, and I never looked back. The journey has been a whirlwind of honing my craft and taking on inspiring roles, driven by the same passion I felt from the start.

Overcoming Challenges

Auditioning can be tough, especially the waiting game. Patience is essential, and I’ve learned to embrace the journey, understanding that rejection is part of the process. Anime has played a significant role in my career, teaching me persistence and helping me hone my skills.

Voicing Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen

Yuji Itadori is the heart and soul of Jujutsu Kaisen, a show full of action and emotion. The storyline and animation hooked me immediately, and Yuji’s complexity drew me to the role. The second season ramps up the intensity, making it a must-watch on Crunchyroll.

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash Video Game

The Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash video game is a must-play for fans of the series. It’s packed with exciting content that captures the essence of the show.

Favorite Characters and Shows

Out of all the characters I’ve voiced, Yuji Itadori stands out as my favorite. His blend of vulnerability and strength, along with the show’s incredible fanbase, makes voicing him an honor. Being part of a record-breaking show like Jujutsu Kaisen is incredibly fulfilling.

Voicing Sota Miyagi in The First Slam Dunk

I had the opportunity to voice Sota Miyagi in The First Slam Dunk, based on Inoue’s Slam Dunk manga series. The film follows Ryota Miyagi and his challenges with Shohoku High School’s basketball team. It’s available on Blu-Ray, so be sure to check it out!

Funko Collectibles

Seeing characters I’ve voiced turned into Funko Pops is a dream come true. It’s surreal to see them for sale at stores and conventions, making the experience all the more special.

Memorable Fan Encounters

One memorable encounter was meeting a group of college friends dressed as Jujutsu Kaisen characters, with a missing character printed and taped to their dorm air fryer. Signing the air fryer was a unique and unforgettable experience.

Voicing Reno Ichikawa in Kaiju No. 8

I’m excited to voice Reno Ichikawa in Kaiju No. 8, a show filled with action, mystery, and supernatural elements. Reno’s determination and resourcefulness make him a compelling character, and the dynamic with Kafka Hibino adds depth to the story. Catch new episodes every Saturday on Crunchyroll.

Upcoming Projects

I’ve recently worked on some exciting video games, including voicing Troy Simpkin in WWE 2K24. Stay tuned to my social media for updates on upcoming projects and exciting new roles.
