(New York, NY) – Acclaimed Broadway and television star Brandon Victor Dixon released his new music video, “Maybe,” an R&B-infused pop power ballad written by Dixon himself. The emotionally charged track carried a strong message of hope, resilience, and societal reflection.

Dixon shared that the inspiration for “Maybe” came while reading James Baldwin’s The Fire Next Time. He noted, “I wrote this song while reading James Baldwin’s The Fire Next Time with the intent to remind each other that we are cycling through the same conflicts repeatedly as a society. But maybe, just maybe, if we can recognize that fact, we can make things all right again.”

At the time of the release, Dixon was hard at work on his debut solo album, with more singles planned in advance of the full album drop. The as-yet-untitled project was expected later that year.
