“Spicy (Nitepunk Remix)” takes the chart-topping hit from the sensational girl group aespa and transforms it into a warehouse rave-style anthem.
Nitepunk’s ingenuity shines as he blends breakbeat, house, and trap genres, infusing the track with a futuristic, dystopian atmosphere that invites listeners to imagine what it would be like if aespa remained in the surreal KWANGYA world.
The original version of “Spicy” by aespa, boasting over 66 million Spotify streams, is a standout track from their third mini-album, MY WORLD.
Nitepunk’s bold remix not only pays homage to aespa’s unique sound but propels it into uncharted dance music territory, offering a fresh perspective that will ignite dance floors worldwide.
Nitepunk is an emerging American producer/DJ hailing from Georgia (Eastern Europe) with a distinctive musical style that blends trap, breakbeat, and house. He gained recognition through his collaboration track “Point” with the renowned artist Habstrakt, who previously remixed aespa’s “Next Level” under the ScreaM Records label.
Nitepunk’s star has been on the rise, particularly in Los Angeles, following the release of his debut album, HUMANS, which showcases his versatility across various music styles. He is currently sharing stages with celebrated American bass music artist SLANDER throughout the western United States.
aespa, comprised of KARINA, WINTER, GISELLE, and NINGNING, is a powerhouse female quartet that achieved a groundbreaking milestone by achieving the fastest climb to 100 million views on their debut video, “Black Mamba,” making YouTube history for K-Pop groups.
Their 2021 EP, “Savage – The 1st Mini Album,” reached the highest position ever for a K-Pop girl group on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart. It also soared to #1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 20 countries upon release.
aespa has received accolades from Forbes, Teen Vogue, Rolling Stone, Flaunt, and TIME, which featured them among “The Next Generation Leaders, Class of 2022.” They were also recognized in Forbes’ “30 Under 30” Asia list for 2022.
After being named Apple Music’s Global Up Next artist in June 2022, the quartet released their first English-language single, “Life’s Too Short,” and their highly anticipated second EP, “Girls – The 2nd Mini Album,” which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.
aespa’s name derives from “ae” (avatar and experience) + “aspect,” with each member having a corresponding avatar in a virtual world created from their personal data.
