Electronic music icon deadmau5 has released his latest EP, some ep, on July 19 through his Mau5trap label. This new collection features standout tracks like “Quezacotl,” TESTPILOT’s “Wet,” “Sever,” and “Input Output,” showcasing a range of styles from his extensive production archives.
The EP’s release coincides with the announcement of deadmau5’s annual ‘Day of the deadmau5’ shows, which will take place in Chicago, Mexico City, Washington D.C., and for the first time ever, Puerto Rico, this October. Tickets for all dates are available now here.

some ep features a selection of four carefully curated tracks:
- “Quezacotl” is a majestic return to form with symphonic chords and melodic synths, a hallmark of deadmau5’s classic style. It debuted during his sold-out ‘retro5pective: 25 Years of deadmau5’ shows at Hollywood Bowl and Brooklyn Mirage.
- “Wet,” from his TESTPILOT alias, offers an epic techno journey with dark, pulsating beats and complex synth layers, marking his first TESTPILOT studio production since 2014.
- “Sever” and “Input Output” continue the EP’s diverse exploration, with the latter also premiering at the Brooklyn Mirage show.
The ‘Day of the deadmau5’ performances are renowned for their unique and evolving setlists. Attendees can expect a mix of classics like “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff” and “Strobe,” alongside fresh material from some ep. The shows will feature cutting-edge production and visuals, encouraging fans to dress up and embrace the Halloween spirit.
