Tia Penny, a 15-year-old singer-songwriter and acoustic guitar player from Arizona, is making a name for herself in the music industry.

Tia is set to record more of her songs in March of this year and is excited to be putting out her first EP in 2023.

Tia’s Unique Qualities and Old School Musicality

Tia is not your average young musician. As a student at an arts school, she is trained in classical guitar, which gives her a technical knowledge of the instrument that sets her apart from many others in the industry.

Tia is drawn to 60s and 70s music, and she tries to bring that old school musicality into her songwriting. Her style is a unique blend of classic and modern, and her ability to evoke emotions through her lyrics and melodies is truly exceptional.

The Moment She Knew She Was Doing What She Was Born to Do

For Tia, the moment she knew she was doing what she was born to do was when she wrote a song dedicated to her Papa who had recently passed away.

As she sang the song for her family, she noticed tears in their eyes, and that experience really moved her to keep going deep with her lyrics.

Tia’s Biggest Challenge and Inspiration

Like many artists, Tia experienced writer’s block during the pandemic. While some took the time as an opportunity to be creative, Tia found herself not wanting to pick up her guitar. But the first song she wrote that got her out of her writer’s block is titled “You will be found.”

She recently recorded the song, and she realized that she actually wrote it for herself. Tia hopes this song inspires others to find their way back to their passions as well.
