“Gone To Bed” explores the emotional tension between two people in a relationship who are afraid to fully commit to their feelings for each other, Colby explains.
“Both feel the other deserves more, so they shy away from expressing their true emotions. Despite living in a constant state of uncertainty and regret, they remain together, always wishing they had been more honest with each other.”
At the age of 14, Colby began her musical journey, writing her own songs and performing live with her brother while he was attending Berklee College of Music.
On May 28th, she released her debut single, “Don’t Know What To Say,” which garnered attention on Spotify’s Local Pulse playlist in Dallas, TX, and Apple Music’s New In Alternative playlist.

ABOUT COLBY!:
Colby grew up in Fort Worth, TX, surrounded by a vibrant music scene and a love for creative arts, including singing, writing, baking, painting, and performing.
After being diagnosed with severe dyslexia at the age of 8, she underwent three years of intensive therapy to help her manage the condition and improve her reading skills.
Her passion for music became a way to cope and express herself, leading her to start writing and performing at a young age.
At 14, she began co-writing with her producer and brother, RJ Johnson, a Berklee College of Music graduate. When she’s not writing, Colby loves driving while singing at the top of her lungs, using music as an outlet for her emotions.
Her immediate goal is to continue creating music with her brother that resonates with listeners, offering them a way to escape and find solace in their own lives.
