The inception of “Next” was driven by the shocking revelation that over 600 mass shootings took place across the United States in 2023.

This grim statistic underscored how gun violence has sadly become a recurring part of everyday life, inspiring the intense music and lyrics of the song.

“Next” confronts listeners with the disturbing possibility that they could be the next victims of a mass shooting.

“Next” is a metal track filled with raw, chaotic energy, characterized by aggressive musical dissonance and deep-seated angst.

The track builds tension through its intro, pre-choruses, and post-choruses, creating a sense of urgency and unease.
