Tiger Curran, co-founder of Laurel Canyon Tennis Club, is making waves in the world of tennis fashion with her unique approach to sportswear.
A costume designer for film and TV, Curran and her best friend Laurie Berger were inspired to create their own line of tennis apparel after struggling to find anything on the market that fit their fun, bohemian aesthetic.
What sets Laurel Canyon Tennis Club apart from other brands is its use of custom prints and high-quality, locally sourced fabrics that create a truly unique and daring look on and off the court.
The fit and feel of the clothing are also of utmost importance to Curran, who spent years perfecting the patterns for each piece. The result is a line of sportswear that not only looks great but feels great too.
But it hasn’t been an easy road for Curran and Berger. Breaking with the traditional all-white outfits of many tennis clubs was a risky move, and there was a chance that their bold prints and colors could be rejected by the tennis community.
But with support from friends, family, and the tennis groups in LA, Laurel Canyon Tennis Club has been able to gain a foothold in the industry and make a name for itself.
For Curran, the moment she realized she was doing what she was born to do was when they launched and received a ton of support from the community.
And while they are still self-funded and take on all the risks themselves, Curran and Berger are dedicated to creating something truly special and unique in the industry.
So if you’re looking to add some personality and style to your tennis game, check out Laurel Canyon Tennis Club and see what all the hype is about.
