Rising alt-pop artist colby! has unveiled her latest single, “You,” offering fans a raw and emotional glimpse into her highly anticipated debut EP, FINE!, set to drop on June 6. [Listen HERE]
“‘You’ is about the inner conflict of resisting someone’s influence while unknowingly becoming just like them,” colby! shared. “It’s closure — the unsaid thoughts, the emotional residue that never got a voice.”
The hauntingly honest track has been years in the making. Colby! first held on to the chorus for nearly two years before teaming up with her older brother RJ Johnson, along with acclaimed collaborators King Henry and Georgia Webster, to bring the song to life in Nashville.
“Some songs just need time — and the right people — to become what they’re meant to be,” the 19-year-old artist explained.
“You” joins previously released tracks “Out of Sight” and “Monster” on FINE!, a project that showcases colby!’s bold vulnerability and lyrical depth.
Already recognized by outlets like FAULT, Galore, Ladygunn, Ones to Watch, and Clout, colby! continues to cement herself as one of 2025’s most exciting artists to watch.
