“We created this EP like building a drip castle on the seashore, one musical drop at a time,” shares Female President. “Reflecting on the five stages of grief, the sequence isn’t important. We wanted to fully convey the rage, denial, sorrow, acceptance, and joy one experiences while moving through the other side of heartbreak.”
The Healing Ritual isn’t just an album; it’s an exploration of emotional landscapes expressed through music. The band’s creative journey involved collaborations with painters, writing poetry on dusty trails, dancing on golden shores, and pushing the boundaries of genre and self-imposed limits. They engaged in meaningful conversations, building trust and a strong commitment to honoring the music they create.
A standout track on the EP is “II Odyssey Within Remix,” a unique collaboration with Japanese musician and composer Katsuharu Koura. This track represents a dream come true for lead vocalist Drea, who always wanted to create a disco song inspired by the one that made her fall in love with singing.
