(New York, NY) – Multi Grammy®-nominated R&B vocal powerhouse Ryan Shaw is gearing up to unveil his latest single, the uplifting and inspirational “Rising Up.” Featuring the iconic Average White Band (AWB) Horns (Cliff Lyons & Fred Vigdor), the track is set for release on April 4th via Healy Entertainment/The Orchard.
Co-written by Shaw and Tim Myers (co-founder, OneRepublic, Ke$ha, Ben Lee) and produced by Shaw alongside Grammy Award®-winner Scott Jacoby (John Legend, Coldplay, Aloe Blacc), “Rising Up” is a rousing anthem designed to empower and inspire. Click here to pre-save “Rising Up.”
Fans can also look forward to additional singles dropping later this year. The highly anticipated full-length album, RISING UP, is slated for release in early 2026. Discussing the project, Ryan Shaw shares, “Some of the songs on this album were born in the stillness of 2020-2022.
Music has the power to illuminate our past and shape our future, and my hope is that these songs will unite us in love and hope—something the world still deeply needs.”
A three-time Grammy® nominee, Ryan Shaw has garnered widespread acclaim for his powerhouse vocals. The Los Angeles Times raves, “Prepare to have your soul rocked…,” while Billboard hails him as “a massive talent with a huge voice.” The Washington Post describes his sound as “so big and rangy… so full of fire and conviction, exploding with emotion.”

A Storied Career of Excellence
Shaw has earned accolades for his solo projects, including This Is Ryan Shaw (Columbia Records), In Between, and Real Love (Dynotone). He has shared the stage with legendary artists such as Van Halen, Bonnie Raitt, John Legend, B.B. King, and Jill Scott.
His music has graced the soundtracks of FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance, ABC’s Dancing with The Stars, Grey’s Anatomy, Lincoln Heights, as well as films My Blueberry Nights, Bride Wars, and the Sex and the City soundtrack.
Shaw’s theatrical credits include starring as Judas in the Olivier Award-winning London production of Jesus Christ Superstar, portraying Stevie Wonder in Motown: The Musical on Broadway, and appearing as the Soul of Michael Jackson in Thriller Live on London’s West End. He made his Radio City Music Hall debut in the Dream Concert benefit for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial.
His Carnegie Hall performances have included tributes to Elton John and Bernie Taupin, a celebration of African American cultural legacy, and a Nat King Cole 100th anniversary concert with the NY Pops.
Shaw’s concert highlights include Central Park’s SummerStage, Nat King Cole at 100 with the National Symphony Orchestra at The Kennedy Center, and A Tribute to the Queen of Soul: Aretha Franklin with numerous orchestras across North America.
His solo orchestral show, Ryan Shaw: Masters of R&B, premiered at the Ferguson Center for the Performing Arts with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and is now being performed nationwide. Additionally, his new duo show with Capathia Jenkins, ICON, is set to be presented by multiple orchestras.
Shaw recently featured in The 92nd Street Y’s Lyrics & Lyricists: What’s Going On? Songs of Change. His most recent album, Imagining Marvin, blends Marvin Gaye classics with original compositions, featuring Grammy® Award-winning collaborators Valerie Simpson and Rob Thomas, and special guests Derek Trucks, Rob Thomas, Robert Randolph, and Shoshana Bean.
