North American & European Tour Announced

Cunningham will embark on a North American tour this summer in support of In Light, with dates scheduled for June and August. Before heading across the Atlantic, he will first tour the UK and Europe in April and May, including a landmark show at The Barbican in London.

“I’m so excited to be back out touring North America again this year,” Cunningham expressed. “It’s always such a unique experience, one that I value hugely. Looking forward to sharing new music and reconnecting with audiences across the pond.”

About In Light

Following up on his 2023 album Frame, which featured reworks by Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Anohni), In Light marks a new creative chapter. The collaboration between Abrahams and Cunningham led to the involvement of Luke Smith (Keaton Henson, Depeche Mode, Foals), who took on production and mixing duties.

Musically, In Light showcases Cunningham’s signature intricate guitar work, infused with organic textures, soaring melodies, and unexpected shifts in tone. The album features contributions from Leo Abrahams (additional electric guitar), Liam Hutton (drums), Luke Smith (production/mixing), and Katie Tavini (mastering). Visual design was crafted by Gary Barber.

Charlie Cunningham: A Unique Musical Journey

Despite facing challenges due to dyslexia, which made reading music difficult, Cunningham pursued a music degree and spent his mid-twenties working odd jobs while crafting songs in his free time. His passion led him to Seville, Spain, where he immersed himself in flamenco for what was meant to be a three-month trip—only to stay for three years.

Returning to the UK, Cunningham built his career playing covers in bars before gradually introducing his own compositions. Over time, he has become a global success, amassing over half a billion streams and headlining prestigious venues across Europe and North America.
