These shows come ahead of the highly anticipated release of Keznamdi’s upcoming album, Blood and Fyah, set to drop in June. The album, which follows his previous Billboard and iTunes Reggae Chart-topping projects, features a special collaboration with dancehall superstar Mavado. Billboard recently broke the news of the album [here].
A Global Sound with Deep Roots
Keznamdi’s music blends traditional reggae, dancehall, Afrobeats, world music, hip-hop, and soul, amassing over 20 million streams worldwide. His impressive catalog includes collaborations with Zhu, A-Trak, Poo Bear, and more.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Keznamdi was raised in a musical and activist household—his parents were members of the iconic reggae group Chakula. Facing early struggles with discrimination and bullying, he developed a strong sense of resilience and purpose. A move to Tanzania and Ethiopia further expanded his worldview, influencing the global sounds in his music.
From Breakout Success to Blood and Fyah
Keznamdi made waves in 2013 with his independent debut EP, Bridging the Gap, which hit #1 on the iTunes and Billboard Reggae Albums Charts. He solidified his presence with 2017’s Skyline Levels, Vol. 1, featuring the hit single “Victory” with Chronixx, which now has over 1.2 million YouTube views.
His first full-length album, Bloodline, was recorded at Skyline Levels studio in Jamaica, mixed in Miami, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London, earning critical acclaim from Reggaeville and other outlets.
Now, Keznamdi is ready to bring his latest evolution to fans worldwide. Blood and Fyah promises a vibrant, genre-blending experience that stays true to his reggae roots while pushing musical boundaries.
Stay tuned for more updates and new music ahead of the album’s release.
