Leading independent music publisher Prescription Songs is thrilled to announce the signing of atlgrandma, a Los Angeles-based songwriter, producer, and artist, through a partnership with Hazheart Music. The deal was overseen by Prescription Songs A&Rs Nick Guilmette and Shari Fitch.
atlgrandma (real name Liam Hall) is a pivotal figure in LA’s leftfield pop scene, known for his eclectic blend of rock, rap, pop, and dance music. Hall has produced for notable artists like Willow, SNOW WIFE, Dorian Electra, and more, frequently collaborating with producers lil aaron and Y2K. Originally from Atlanta, Hall’s artistic journey began after his family relocated from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
Since 2019, releases like “Even If We Don’t Get It Together” and 2022’s “Angelhood” have established his signature sound— a darkly humorous critique of Western culture. His latest single, “Nightmare Blunt Rotation”, released on August 9, showcases his offbeat and sincere approach to music, drawing comparisons to Beck’s Odelay era.
Earlier this year, atlgrandma toured with Dorian Electra and Frost Children, and co-produced their joint track, “We Invented Love”. He also launched a semi-regular warehouse event series in LA, blending party vibes with performance art, set to return after Labor Day.
