On August 7, 2024, Midge Ure launched his North American tour at Daryl’s House in Pawling, NY. The tour, named “Band in a Box,” saw Ure travel across the U.S. and Canada, culminating in a final show in Ft. Lauderdale on September 12. The full list of tour dates is provided below.

Speaking about the tour, Midge explained: “Many people have asked what ‘Band in a Box’ is. It’s myself on electric guitar, synthesizer, and vocals, alongside my longtime keyboard player, Charlie Round-Turner. We perform live using various loops, samples, and programmed drums—essentially creating a full-band experience with just the two of us.”

He added, “This stripped-down format allows us to cover material from my diverse career, spanning from early Ultravox and Visage tracks to my most recent solo work. Who knew two people could create such a massive sound?”

Tickets for the tour were made available through MidgeUre.com.

Earlier this year, Midge celebrated his 70th birthday with a one-night-only concert at The Royal Albert Hall, showcasing highlights from his extensive catalogue. He is set to embark on a European tour before returning to North America. Additionally, he continues to host the Backstage Lockdown Club, offering fans exclusive access to monthly intimate performances through a subscription service.
